About Bonosue
I am an experienced dog breeder based in Bolton, Lancashire. Ian got his first dog, a Border Collie called Kipp, at the age of 7. Kipp was followed by a Labrador named Pele, and then in 1979 by another Border Collie, Mixi. At Bonosue, we currently breed Irish Terriers.
We started breeding Border Terriers in 1988, but we were joined by Yewood Juliet, our first Irish Terrier, in 1996. At present, we have seven Irish Terriers aged between 2 months and 14 years. Our eldest, Spanwise Absinthe Sh.C.M (Abbey), is enjoying life as a veteran she has won several Best Terrier Veteran in group and looks forward to continuing this. Get in touch today for more details.

Competition Judges
Both well-known as judges in the Terrier groups, we are available for judging appointments at varieties and Best in Show competitions throughout the UK. Ian is a Kennel Club Championship judge awarding C.C's in Irish Terriers, He judges all breeds of Terriers, and Hound Breeds at the open-show level. Ian has previously judged Terriers at the Great Harwood Agricultural Show in 2019 and the Honley Agricultural Show in 2020.
As Seen On…
Over the years, several companies have used our dogs to advertise their products. Four of our Border Terrier pups were used as the Friskies Beta puppies, and Bonosue Inis MorBean-Sidhe, an Irish Terrier puppy, has featured in many adverts and also on leaflets and ladies’ t-shirts.
Our dogs have also been painted by well-known wildlife artist Mr N. Artingstall, and these paintings are available as prints of his work. The latest two stars are Marina and Scarlet, who appeared as Eccles in ITV Granada’s Coronation Street, a terrier who was left in a will to Blanche Hunt and the Barlows.
